In a move that excited locals of Nyatike, Migori, the leaders arrived together at the thanksgiving ceremony of area leader Tom Odege.

Since his election in 2017, Obado who had just decamped from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has taken the back bench, avoiding Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) functions.

Late last year, he was spotted alongside Deputy President William Ruto who is currently Raila's leading rival ahead of the 2022 presidential elections.

In September last year, while Raila rooted for Ochilo Ayacko's senatorial bid, Obado who was in remand over alleged involvement in Rongo University student Sharon Otieno's murder was said to be on the side of Ayacko's rival Eddy Oketch of (FPK)

However, on Friday, the two were seen sharing light moments and laughing while dancing to Luo tunes as locals watched.

Raila proceeded to launch a series of development initiatives, in an event that was attended by leaders from as far as Kisumu and Siaya counties.

They included James Orengo (Siaya), Jared Okello (Nyando), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) and host Tom Odege.
