Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka has claimed that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is trying to divide Ukambani region by using three Ukambani governors.
According to the MP, governor Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos) are being used to replace Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, in the region since he drifted.
“The governors are now being used by Raila to prove a point, you understand that every other day Kalonzo is drifting away from Raila and he (Raila) thinks he can replace him with Mutua and the other governors,” the lawmaker told the Star.
According to him, the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is all about politics and nothing has changed from the previous way of politicking.
He also warned the public from thinking that the Ukambani governors are going to educate them on important issues of BBI, as he accuses them of using the platform to conduct politics.
“BBI is politics; there is nothing about changing the lives of Kenyans. Let nobody think they (the three governors) are going to educate Kenyans on pertinent issues. It is a way of creating their political niche in Ukambani,” Vincent Musyokasaid
There is currently a division of holding different BBI rallies in Ukambani region, where Kalonzo is set to hold a rally on February 7th while the governors are also expected to hold theirs on Saturday next week.
