“Ford Kenya, the lion party will be unveiling its candidate in Kibra by-election next week. A dynamic, young, professional, Kibra-born, grassroots operator who will carry on with the dynamic legacy left by Hon Ken Okoth. Watch the space,” said the Senator.

He said the party is on the brink of making history, given the fact that ODM leader Raila Odinga first went to Parliament through its ticket in 1993.

“Ford Kenya, the lion party, is no stranger to the great people of Kibra. My brother Rt Hon Raila Odinga went to parliament for the first time in 1993 on Ford Kenya party. We are on the brink of recreating history," he added.

The Kibra parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Okoth last month.

ODM, which is the most popular party in the constituency, is expected to conduct a nomination exercise on September 07 to determine its candidate in the by-election.
