The forward, who signed a two-year contract deal with the defending Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions last week, made his first appearance for the side against his former team Mathare United on Sunday.

He said that he expects things to move smoothly once he gets a spot at the team's starting lineup.

This was after being used as a substitute during Sunday's match at the Moi Sports Center  Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

"The most important thing is the first goal then the more than 20 goals will come, that’s my target,” he told journalists.

The former Harambee Stars captain and legendary striker retired from professional football in 2015, after featuring for different sides in France, Qatar, and Dubai.

The 33-year-old now hopes to help 'The Green Army' regain its footing this league, considering that the defending champions are currently ranked seventh in the league table.

“I want to win the title with Gor Mahia, I have never won a trophy locally other than the Cecafa Cup with Harambee Stars in 2002 in Mwanza,” he added.

The match ended in a one-all draw.
