Chief Justice David Maraga on Thursday toured Makueni County where he commissioned the new Makindu Law Courts.
The head of the Judiciary was accompanied by a number of leaders from Ukambani including Makueni County boss Kivutha Kibwana.
Kibwana took to social media to share the news of Maraga’s visit to the county.
“A great occasion as we welcome Chief Justice @dkmaraga to Makueni for the commissioning of the new Makindu law courts block. For democracy to triumph, the rule of law must prevail and justice expedited @JUDICIARYKENYA," Kibwana posted on his Facebook page.
The court's commissioning comes at a time when Maraga has maintained that he will continue in the fight to end criminal activities in the nation.
Maraga has urged Kenyans to support the Judiciary in the fight against corruption.
“You are well aware of the current war against corruption. As a judiciary, we cannot be presiding over corruption cases while abetting corruption within our corridors,” said Maraga during a conference at the Bomas of Kenya on 28th, January.
