Speaking at Ogembo in Kisii during the KANU's youth conference on Saturday, the Kisii County KANU chairman Pius Nyambane said the party is now working on giving support to young people in politics.

"This is KANU fresh in Kisii County. We have come together to fight space for the young people not only in Kisii but also Nationally," said Nyambane.

He said as a nation Kenya should come up with a policy framework which properly defines the youth space in employment.

"As a nation, we have forgotten the young people who have turned into depression and taken their frustrations into suicide. They have papers with no employment. This is a national disaster that needs to be looked at and urgently solved by the government," noted the Kisii County KANU chairman who also warned politicians against conducting early campaigns and instead asked them to focus on development.

Nyambane also said they fully support the fight against corruption as a party but cautioned individuals out to taint others' image with false claims.

KANU has been under the waters for years in Kisii and this seems a sign of revival as it plans to re-open its offices in the county as well as some to Sub-counties.
