Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi has been challenged to declare whether he supports government or he's in opposition politics.
On Tuesday, Mudavadi accused the government of massive corruption, adding that the proposed 1.5% house levy is a secret plot government to steal from people.
"The cost of living is at the ceiling and Kenyans can no longer afford. It's ridiculous that someone wants to tax them forcefully when life is unbearable. The move shall be resisted at all costs," he wrote.
While the government is keen to implement the policy as part of plans to fulfil President Uhuru Kenyatta's Housing agenda, a Labour Court on Wednesday suspended taxation following an application by FKE.
But Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, a close ally of DP Ruto, observes that the former Vice President lacks consistency, a key pillar in politics.
"Musalia Mudavadi would make more sense if he chose a consistent political persuasion. One day he speaks as opposition leader, the next he's falling over himself being a jubilee influencer, launching huduma Namba," he said.
Since last year March when Uhuru and Raila Odinga started working together, the ANC leader, who worked with Odinga in 2017 polls, has struggled to stamp authority in Kenyan politics.
Last week, Mudavadi insisted that he turned down a government job offer, adding that he's keen to play opposition politics until the next general elections in 2022.
His other comrades Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka have been recruited to government, both working as envoys for President Uhuru Kenyatta outside Kenya.
