During the urgly showdown at Matungu, three people among them Achesa's PA were critically injured.

But according to Malala, his decision to ask Achesa to desist from inciting youths to demonstrate in favour of reviving Mumias Sugar Company infuriated the CS.

"I called the CS in the morning and told him demonstration cannot revive Mumias Sugar. I asked him to write a proposal to the president and hand it over during cabinet meetings.

"But because I know he can't read and write, I even offered myself to do it. That is why his boys are fighting me," claimed Malala.

Among the 22 ministers in Uhuru's government, Achesa is the only one without a secondary school education.

While Malala is a staunch supporter of Raila Odinga, Achesa is DP William Ruto's pointsman from the vote rich Western Kenya.
