The DP has been on the receiving end from the opposition leaders lately, regarding his stand against the referendum push spearheaded by opposition chief Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Wednesday, Weda told the DP to ignore the team, adding that the people attacking him are not a threat in any way and are only out to pease their master.

He gave an example of Siaya Senator James Orengo who on Sunday bashed the DP for blindly opposing the referendum without taking his time to take a look the proposed changes.

"The likes of Orengo have been dispatched to fight him. They are parroting on Raila's orders and are only attacking the DP to please their master who is Raila," said Weda.

Weda was speaking on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation Wednesday morning.

He added that Orengo too might have not read the new changes being pushed into implementation and is only purporting to be familiar with it because Raila has done it.

"I don't think Orengo has read anything. He is most likely only in support of it because Raila has said so," added Weda who doubles up as an advocate of the High Court.

Orengo, a close ally of the former Prime Minister made the remarks at the St Stephens ACK church in Milimani Kisumu on Sunday.
