Even before he settles the puzzle on whom to support for 2022 elections between Raila Odinga and William Ruto, Don Bosco Gichana will now have to factor Kalonzo Musyoka in his equation.
At the homecoming ceremony at Gusii stadium, his loyal supporters from both Nyamira and Kisii Counties chanted "declare stand' as Mr. Bosco revealed those who stood with him throughout his incarnation in Tanzania prison.
"Kalonzo Musyoka visited me severally in prison. Through Oscar Sudi, William Ruto stood with me all the time.
"It's Raila's persistent meetings with President John Magufuli that sealed all these. I am thankful to all who spared there time to have me released," he said.
But the presence of Oscar Sudi, his in-law who acted as master of ceremony, may have disappointed Raila's supporters.
Many believe that the flashy homecoming with presence of choppers, maybe, was staged by the DP, whom he'd met on Thursday, a day to the occasion.
Before he flew to the US, Raila had planned to attend the ceremony. Kalonzo Musyoka, the third person in picture, called for political tolerance.
But Bosco's appeal among the youths throughout Gusii region makes him a man of interest ahead of 2022. Whichever route he choses, time will tell.
