Speaking on Wednesday, the former Rongo parliamentary hopeful took issue with the 'Tanga Tanga' faction of the Jubilee Party over their conduct and the alleged use of the church as a campaign platform.

He argued that the team which is backing Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid has erred by turning the church into a political arena, under the disguise of fundraisers and services.

Osiany stressed on the need for churches to be used only for their rightful purpose, saying that though the team has managed to ignore calls from fellow leaders to stop the habit, they might soon have to deal with God himself.

"Hawa in mchezo wanafanya, wasipeleke siasa katika madhabahu maana ni laana sasa wanatafuta (they are now joking, let them keep politics off pulpit because they now risk being cursed)," he said.

Osiany was speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show.

On his party, political analyst Gerald Bitok, detected some sort of influence in the way the 'Kieleweke' and 'Tanga Tanga' are operating, terming them political brokers.

"Tanga Tanga na Kieleweke ni mabroker wa kisiasa. Kwa upande mmoja Tanga Tanga wanatusi rais na Kieleweke pia wanatoa vitisho. Ruto na Uhuru nao wanaangalia tu ('TangaTanga' and 'Kieleweke' are political brokers. On one side 'Tanga Tanga' is insulting the president while  'Kieleweke' are issuing threats as Uhuru and Ruto watch)," he said.
