Thirteen students from Kiangini Secondary School were injured after the bus they were using overturned at Kiangini market along the Makindu-Wote Road on Saturday morning.

According to The Nation, three of them have been seriously injured.

Confirming the incidence, Makueni OCPD Benjamin Osongo said that the 44 students and their five teachers on the bus were going to Machakos Town when the tragedy befell them.

Those who were injured were rushed to Wote town's  Makueni County Referral Hospital.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
