In an interview with a local FM radio station on Thursday morning, Duale faulted allegations that he was contemplating on ditching DP Ruto terming them as nonsense.

He further castigated politicians engaging in early 2022 presidential campaigns which he claimed were premature.

On the recent utterances issued by former Jubilee vice chairperson David Murathe and the Gatundu MP Moses Kuria, the Garissa MP called on elected leaders to respect the presidency as the country's highest governing institution while terming the statements as meaningless and divisive.

“I really want to ask Jubilee leaders who want to reduce the President and his deputy to their community and their regions that it is against the principles of the Jubilee Party in which we formed after collapsing a number of the regional and tribal parties that propelled us to government in 2013,” Duale stated as quoted by Capital FM.

Duale's sentiments are now expected to mark an end to the widespread speculations that all was not well in DP Ruto's camp given the fact that he is one of the latter's staunch supporters.
