Mutua said the park will be constructed on a 20 acre piece of land.

It, however, remains unclear when the park will be completed following the agreement between the corporation and Machakos county government.

“Machakos County signs Ksh.150 million business park M.O.U with ICDC. I have this morning, on behalf of my government entered into an MOU with the @ICDCKenya, for the construction of a 20 acre business park at the Machakos New City at a cost of ksh150 million,” Mutua tweeted on Thursday.

Mutua said once unveiled, the park will benefit county residents in various levels.

He called upon the locals to back his government as he seeks to transform the region before he completes his second and final term in office.

Mutua said the Business Park is a revolutionary idea to embrace.

“The construction of this Business Park at the Machakos New City will provide an opportunity for our industrialists and innovators to have access to finances and a base of production and manufacturing for the market right from here in Machakos,” Mutua said.
