“It brought me positive energy and a lot of opportunities,” she says “I was honored to visit new places and even met great people whom I would never have met if I hadn’t gotten the opportunity to work for the rail.”

In February 2018, Winne was one of her team members that got an opportunity to visit Beijing, China and perform at the Spring Festival Gala.

“It was an experience of a life time and a dream come true,” she told China Communications Construction.

Winne believes working with the SGR has improved her communication and leadership skills.

“I am looking forward to many more amazing opportunities in 2019,” she said.

“The SGR is the place to be and I am committed to making sure together we create a world-class brand," Winne added on January 31, 2019.

The Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway, built and operated by CCCC’s subsidiary of CRBC, has transported more than 2 million passengers since its launch in May 31, 2017.

Meanwhile, Allan Munge, SGR batching plant operator has acquired the batching plant skills.

He was awarded Order of Grand Warrior last year by President Uhuru Kenyatta for his hard work and commitment towards the construction of the SGR project.
