The Kisii based club sits 10th in the FKF National Super League with only 16 points accumulated after playing 12 games.

Stephen Ogati (Shabana’s Captain) blamed bad luck for their recent unpleasant results.

“Specifically in our last game against Modern Coast Rangers we created lots of chances but our striking force wasn’t clinical enough to convert them,” clarified Ogati.

The skipper promised their fans that they have been working hard in training to rectify the errors displayed in their last three matches. He is hopeful that the team will scoop all the three points come on Sunday when they face Kenya Police at Camp Toyoyo.

Further, the Captain appealed to the Kisii County Government to speed up on its ongoing renovations on Gusii Stadium which is their home ground. The renovations involve: elevation of inner perimeter wall, cutting of grass and filling of open holes at the running track.

Shabana’s head coach Gilbert Selebwa is still suspended by FKF for his indecent demeanor that he exhibited during their 1-0 loss to Eldoret Youth on January 16, 2019. Their Assistant Coach Andrew Kanuli continues to fill in Selebwa’s roles at the dugout.
