If you thought Indomie noodles have it all then you are probably wrong because there is another new pack of noodles in town.
This is after the launch of maize meal (Ugali) noodles with sukuma wiki flavour alongside a new line of cheese and onion flavoured noodles to the local market.
The packet which was launched by Bidco Africa group is targetting local noodle lovers.
This has been attributed to the love of Kenya's stable food, ugali and sukumawiki.
The Group's Chief executive officer Thiagarajan Ramamurthy said the introduction of the new noodle variants is just an extension of the company's classic tomato, chicken and onion flavours that hit the market less than a year ago.
“The introduction of Ugali noodles with sukuma wiki flavour and cheese variants has been informed by our studies on consumer trends and preferences,” said the CEO.
The packet is a relief for Ugali and Sukuma lovers who have no time to prepare. According to details, the noodles are ready to be served within 3 minutes of boiling.
Recently, the government through the Ministry of Agriculture unveiled a directive requiring millers in the country to mix maize and wheat flour with other nutritious crops so as to end the current over-reliance on maize.
