Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o has opened up on his early life, divulging that he was also an actor like his daughter Lupita Nyong'o.
The county boss, in an interview on KTN on Wednesday, said was an actor back in school, but quit the same afterwards.
He said had he known that acting is paying, judging by the success of his daughter Lupita, he would have held on to the talent.
Governor Nyong'o noted that maybe he too would have ended up in Hollywood like his daughter, who is also an Oscars Award holder.
"I used to be an actor in school. I wished I knew at that time that acting was rewarding, I could have gone to Hollywood," said the governor.
The former ODM Secretary General made the remarks as he heaped praises on Lupita, terming her a continental treasure.
According to the first term county chief, his daughter is not only a great pride to Kenya, but to the entire African continent.
"Lupita Nyong'o is a great pride not just to Kenya but to Africa as a whole," he added.
Nyong'o's acting side has remained unknown, with most only knowing him as a politician and a lover of Zilizopendwa songs.
