Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has begged Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama to focus on service delivery in his county.
Maangi, who met with Nyagarama on Thursday at a fund drive in Nyakeore Secondary school, said Nyagarama should ignore critics.
"Mr Nyagarama you need not to worry about what rivals say about you. Put all your energies towards serving the people of Nyamira who voted for you the same way my boss Governor James Ongwae is doing," he said.
He urged Nyagarama to also work closely with is Deputy Mr Amos Nyaribo to the sake of service delivery.
The DG challenged elected leaders from the two counties to embrace unity for the sake of pushing development.
"Elected leaders in Nyamira and Kisii counties need to drop their political differences and speak in one voice so that development can be realized in the two counties for the benefit of common residents," he added.
Maangi confirmed that Kisii and Nyamira counties are working closely to improve the levels of education.
Maangi, who has declared interest to run for the gubernatorial seat in 2022, distanced himself from retrogressive politics confirming that he is committed to help Governor Ongwae to deliver.
