Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has asked her supporters to pray for her.
Ndeti said she needs prayers as she plans on how to liberate Machakos residents.
According to Ndeti, Machakos people need liberation from Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua’s 'poor' leadership.
Speaking in Kathiani on Monday, the former MP said the battle to liberate the county is not easy.
“I am asking Machakos people to pray for me as I prepare to liberate them from poor leadership orchestrated by one Alfred Mutua,” Ndeti said.
Ndeti while exuding confidence that the Supreme Court will dismiss Mutua’s appeal, urged locals to get ready to go to the ballot.
“Machakos people have suffered for long and their time for liberation is coming soon,” Ndeti added.
The Wiper politician called for peace among her supporters and residents ahead of the Supreme Court's ruling on the appeal.
“We must always remember that we are brothers and sisters and we should always co-exist in peace despite our political differences,” she said.
Ndeti is likely to battle it out with Mutua on the ballot again should the Supreme Court dismiss the appeal by the embattled Machakos governor challenging the Court of Appeal's ruling that nullified his election.
Mutua and Ndeti’s supporters have been clashing on social media platform with both exuding victory on August 8, 2017 polls.
Political analysts argue that it will be the end of Mutua if the Supreme Court upholds the appellant court's ruling that ordered for fresh gubernatorial election.
