Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has 'congratulated' ODM leader Raila Odinga for hosting Nakuru elders on Saturday at his Opoda farm in Siaya county.
In a tweet, the firebrand MP stated that the ODM leader should not stop at inviting the elders but rather he should join the bandwagon as he is in the league of elders.
"Conguratulations @RailaOdinga for hosting Elders from Nakuru County . Look no further, this is actually where you belong as an Elder,Dont just invite them,Join them because you are one (sic)," tweeted the Jubilee MP.
Barasa is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
His remarks followed a meeting Odinga held with the Nakuru elders, in which, according to the former Prime Minister, they discussed varied concerns of National interest ranging from integration of all communities based on the fact that Nakuru is cosmopolitan, the fight against the scourge of corruption, reconciliation and national unity.
Ever since the March 9th, 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyata and Raila, the ODM boss has been hosting a series of meetings with leaders across the country, a move Ruto allied politicians term as having a sinister motive to block the DP from succeeding his party boss.
