On Saturday, Dr Ruto claimed that Raila Odinga's Kibra stronghold is under siege, adding that the former PM is now looking for reinforcement.

Mr Odinga is keen to ensure Imran Okoth wins Kibra race. Dr Ruto is drumming support for McDonald Mariga, the Jubilee candidate in the race.

But Bosire on Saturday dismissed Ruto's influence, arguing that he will be embarrassed when Kibra people vote a new MP on Thursday.

"He's a nonentity in city politics. Some of us have been here for a while. Those political jokes will be confirmed on Thursday," said Bosire.

"The fact remains Kibra is our stronghold. The victory will be emphatic and this will be the beginning of his exit from politics."

According to the former Kitutu Masaba MP, Ruto is using Kibra poll as a pace setter for his plans to oppose the proposed constitutional changes.

Bosire said Abagusii community in Kibra will play a major role in Imran Okoth's victory, adding that the community is keen to support Building Bridges Initiative report.

"As Abagusii, we cannot be swayed. Over 1,000 of them attended a meeting on Friday. We are keen to win polls and this will send him to village," he added.

Raila Odinga hosted Abagusii voters on Friday. Governors James Ongwae and John Nyagarama were also present among other leaders.
