Though top leaders are wearing a brave face that things are okay within the party, sources have said there are real issues within the coalition that have separated Uhuru and Ruto.

Unlike in 2013 where they two were reading from a similar script, today each has his guns trained on different things.

On top of the list is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s legacy.

Uhuru think tank believes that anybody who is talking of anything else is an enemy within.

“The President risks going home without a legacy. That is why he wants the party to remain focused on his Big Four Agenda,” a source said.

This approach has, however, clashed with his deputy’s 2022 ambition of ascending to the presidency.

Kenyatta’s legacy and Ruto’s 2022 politics have reportedly left Jubilee divided into two.

“We might not say it but Jubilee is right now divided into URP and TNA, those close to the President and those close to his deputy,” an MP said.
