The Jubilee Party will borrow a leaf from the Chinese Communist Party School in strengthening its structure from the grass root level with Nakuru county being the first to implement such.

Speaking after holding a meeting with a delegation from China, officials from Jubilee Party Headquarters as well as officials from Nakuru Jubilee office, Nakuru Deputy Governor Dr.Erick Korir said the move is paramount as far as the party structure is concerned.

While noting that Nakuru is the centre of Kenya’s politics, the DG said there is a need to borrow a leaf from Chinese Communist party in transforming the livelihood of the people through strong political parties with ideologies on transformation.

“The purpose of the meeting was actually to see on ways in which we can strengthen the party from the grass root level all the way to the top. We want to borrow a leaf from Chinese in strengthening the party and improving the livelihood of the people,” said Korir.

On his part, Deputy Head of Mission Form China Li Xuhang lauded Nakuru county and Kenya in general for the steps taken so far. He noted that there were so much that the counties and the nation at large can learn from China’s system of governance citing the Chinese Communist Party School as paramount in shaping the political career of individuals.

“China is very important for the younger generation who want to venture into a political career as they have to go through the Chinese Communist Party School and therefore there is more that Nakuru and Kenya can learn,” said Li Xuhang.

Similar sentiments echoed by Prof Hu Vjauhua who said the coming of his delegation to Nakuru is key in exchanging ideas with the Jubilee Party officials.

“We have come as a delegation to exchange with our Jubilee counterparts on strategies and practices that can improve governance,” he said.

Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri who is also the chair Nakuru County MPs caucus welcomed the move saying it will help the Jubilee party at grassroots level.

“Now we are going to have an academy for the party as well as structures in place to ensure the smooth running of the party,” said Ngunjiri. 

The meeting was also attended by Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Joel Maina Kairo, Nakuru County Jubilee Party chairman  David Manyara among other leaders.
