In the same spirit, worthless and needless support like Wiper backing Jubilee were initiated.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka agreeing to work which President Uhuru Kenyatta adds nothing into Uhuru’s agenda and neither does it support him in anyway.
Furthermore, joining Jubilee government to support its agenda leaves the country without opposition to countercheck government’s projects.
Additionally, Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua is the Jubilee ‘idol’ among the Kamba Nation and through him, Jubilee government was able to get handsome votes from Eastern Kenya. And again, Kalonzo has been nicknamed water melon meaning he cannot be trusted fully. How can the president then choose to trust Kalonzo and leave Mutua?
Kalonzo was the running mate to Opposition leader Raila Odinga, if opposition still exists, and if Raila made truce with the head of state then definitely, Kalonzo was in because he was following their (NASA) leader.
The only wise move wiper leader could have made is to solve their differences with Governor Mutua, bring the Kamba nation together and then agree to support the president and his Big Four agenda. With this they will have a great bargaining power in the government and the 2022 succession politics.
