ODM party leader Raila Odinga now wants Deputy President William Ruto to step down and be probed over his source of wealth.
In the latest swipe at the DP, Raila on Friday questioned his source of wealth, adding that it was impossible for one to dish millions by inviting people every day.
Dr Ruto has this Christmas alone invited delegations from Kisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Busia among other counties at his Sugoi home.
“Which individual can have such money? You are bringing crowds and crowds of people each and every day slaughtering chicken and paying for their transport and giving them petty cash, what is the source of such cash?” wondered Raila.
Raila now wants the DP to step down from government and face lifestyle audit to put records straight.
"We must have the boldness to hold the bull by the horn and to say enough is enough and ask these people to step aside, that is impunity of the highest order,” Raila said in the interview.
Raila and the DP have been at loggerheads in the recent past with President Uhuru Kenyatta's succession battle putting them miles apart.
In a tweet on Friday, Ruto dismissed Raila, accusing him of portraying himself as the only reformist in Kenya.
"Boss, the last time I checked Kenya was the collective business of the 47m of us. When did it become yours, for the rest of us to be patient with you, as you decide what is good for us!!!!! Yaani sasa imefika hapo? Please a little decency & respect is not much to ask of you ndugu," he tweeted.
