Kenyans should think of extending President Uhuru Kenyatta's term in office than electing DP William Ruto as his successor, Gusii community leader in US Mr Ombori Monari insists.
With 38 months to the next polls, Dr Ruto has intensified has succession campaigns even with stern warning from his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In yet another scathing attack, Mr Monari, who is credited for his mobilising skills amongst Abagusii community in the diaspora, likened Dr Ruto to deposed Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.
"Kenyans should get this from me. William Ruto should not be president in Kenya. He's dangerous and his leadership would plunge the country into an economic downturn," he argued.
"Infact, he's worse than Museveni (Yoweri) and Omar al-Bashir. He should be prevented from taking over. Actually, Uhuru is a fair leader. I used to dislike him but I can assure you, instead of electing Ruto, just add Uhuru another term."
In previous elections, Mr Monari along with another activist Samuel Okemwa, have mobilised Abagusii community behind Raila Odinga. In NASA team, they were among top financiers and held meetings with Raila Odinga severally.
For the last three elections, Mr Odinga has comfortably won in Kisii and Nyamira Counties. Dr Ruto has increased his forays to the region, a move that has not gone well with the diaspora community.
But Mr Monari insists the diaspora community will invest in the next polls to block Ruto from ascending to presidency. According to him, Ruto's leadership would be detrimental to his critics.
