After controversy rocked the use of Moi Sports Centre Kasarani Stadium, Sports Cabinet Secretary Amb Amina Mohammed has said the stadium will host a major game.
Gor Mahia F.C football will play their first tie against Moroccan club, Berkane.
The CS said after they had an extensive discussion, it was decided that the match will be played at the stadium on April 7.
"After consultations In the spirit of statesmanship the CAF quarterfinals match Gor Mahia and RS Berkane will take place at Kasarani Stadium 7th April," she tweeted.
"I urge Kenyans to turn up in large numbers. Thanks to the stakeholders for making it possible," she added.
The stadium according to Sports Kenya, had been booked for an expo by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) which they had booked to commence on April 1 to April 7.
According to the official letter issued by Sports Kenya, they have requested the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) to end their expos on April 6 in order to allow the Kenyan champions play their quarterfinals on the 7th.
