Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has called for the auditing of Machakos governor Alfred Mutua terming him as one of the most corrupt people in the country.
Muthama who spoke on Friday at a funeral ceremony in Tala, Matungulu sub-county in Machakos said that his main reason for not having supported governor Mutua was his involvement in graft.
"No single governor will see heaven because of corruption. I have never supported Mutua not even once because I know him, he is corrupt to the core," said Muthama.
He disclosed that he has a pile of evidence against the governor stating that the recent graft allegation against Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was a small match when compared to Mutua.
" If you think Waititu is corrupt, Mutua is more corrupt. No one can match him and I don't fear being arrested for saying so. I have a whole lorry of evidence against him," he said.
The former Senator went ahead to say that former Ethics and anti-corruption commission Halakhe Wako and his deputy CEO Michael Mubeya were paid by governor Mutua to protect the governor from being investigated and arrested.
"And I want the press to write this in capital letters, Halakhe Wako and his deputy Mubea were being paid to protect him from being investigated and arrested," he said.
"Now Halakhe is gone but Mubea remains, those investigating should investigate Machakos County. I say this without any hard feelings, "he added.
