According to Kibwezi sub-county Education Director Kennedy Machora, the six were arrested by police after a feud ensued between form two and form four students.

"After keen investigations, we established that there was tension between form four and form two students where chaos erupted," said Machora.

He said that the school principal alerted the police who swang into action after realising that the students were planning to burn down their dormitory.

"The police interrogated the students and came up with a list of six suspects who have been organising the plan," he said.

He warned students to desist from involving themselves in school unrest saying that stringent actions will be taken against them.

"Don't think we will call you and your parents to discuss the issue with the school board no, we will treat you like a criminal," he said.

He advised school principals before admitting students to know their traits from their former schools to avoid such cases.

"Know what kind of student you're admitting and her behaviour from the school he or she was in and study keenly the school's principals comment about the student," he said.

He said that the lot will appear in court after the investigation is completed.
