Walusimbi moved to the club late last year, ditching Gor at the end of last season, and moving in search of greener pastures.

The former Gor star, who was a favorite to many, made only 14 appearances in all competitions for Chiefs and is said to have been let go after he was deemed surplus by the new coach, Ernst Middendorp.

The Ugandan still had more than two-and-half years left in his contract, but will now be looking for a new club.

It is reported that the new coach favors recently promoted Happy Mashiane in the left-back role over Walusimbi, which is the main reason for letting him go.

Apart from Walusimbi, the club announced two more signings in Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpey from Chippa United and right back Reeve Foster from Bidvest Wits.

Walusimbi forced his way out of the Kenyan Champions and was reprimanded by many including the former coach Dylan Kerr, who accused him of being 'selfish'.
