It was a good weekend for Kenyan trio of Mary Kinuthia, Christine Nafula and Terry Engesha who made winning debuts in Sweden.
The three debuted for Dalhem IF in the Swedish Division II helping their new team smash Hällbybrunn IF 8-2 on Saturday.
The highlight of the trio was Engesha, a former Vihiga Queens striker, who scored four goals and assisted one, setting up Kinuthia to score the fifth goal for Dalhem.
Kinuthia was not done yet, as she scored her second of the match to give her side a 6-0 lead, before grabbing her hattrick late on in the match.
Hällbybrunn grabbed two goals as well in the match, but the damage was already done as they suffered a heavy defeat.
It was a perfect outing as well for Nafula, who assisted four goals in the match, and the ladies will be looking forward to better days with the team.
Engesha has been one of the mainstays of the Harambee Starlets during a successful 2018 campaign, where they performed well including beating Uganda 1-0 in aggregate in the Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
