Former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Farah Maalim has made damning claims on the conduct of American military operations in war-torn Somalia.
Making the claims on Friday via his social media page, Maalim alleged that the military men were engaging in dirty businesses and even stealing minerals under the cover of darkness.
He further disclosed that the airports being used in the business were the Mogadishu International airport and the Balidogle airport.
"Every night at around 3 o'clock in the morning heavy American military transport planes shuttle between Mogadishu Int. Airport & Balidogle airport under cover of darkness &secrecy to unknown destinations. 40ft containers are also moved from Buur Hakaba& Barawa. Stealing minerals!" posted Maalim.

The revelations come at a time that the Garissa politician has taken a low profile in local politics even as he focuses on Somalia affairs.
