Gikaria was nabbed alongside 10 other suspects at Nakuru's Pipeline estate, in a land grabbing case pitting him against former Nakuru Mayor Mohammed Surraw.

He allegedly led a group of youth in erecting stalls in a piece of land owned by the former Nàkuru West parliamentary hopeful, before he was dramatically arrested.

According to area police boss Elena Kaburuku, Gikaria was released on a free bond on Sunday, after reportedly failing to raise bond money at the time of his arrest.

The MP is expected to appear in court on Monday.

The second term parliamentarian is not new to such. Earlier in the year, he was arrested over claims of grabbing a piece land within his constituency.

He is not new to controversy since his days as the Councillor of Flamingo Ward in Nakuru, and has repeatedly been involved in wrangles with local authority administrators.
