Filipino boxer Manu Pacquiao has recorded yet another win in the ring after beating American Keith Thurman at the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday.

Manu, popularly known as 'Manny' floored the 30-year-old through a knock out in the first round, in a match that would later be decided by the judges on grounds of points.

Speaking after the match, 40-year-old Manu expressed his happiness after the match, adding that he will be proceeding to Philippines to carry on with his senatorial roles.

Manu who set a record as the oldest welterweight champion to beat a WBA champion said that felt blessed, expressing hope of fighting again sometime next year.

"I think I will fight next year," he said, as Keith who conceded after failing to keep his initial promise to send the Filipino into retirement.

Keith who was in pursuit of his 30th straight win attributed Manu's win to his momentum after his (Keith) knockdown in the first round."I knew it was too close.

He got the knockdown so he had momentum in round one. This was a beautiful night of boxing," he said.

In his next match, Manu could face Briton Amir Khan in the ring.
