Celebrated every first day of May, Wednesday's celebrations show a section of leaders leaning to the famous 'Kieleweke' team bash those believed to be members of 'Tanga Tanga' with fight against corruption taking center stage.

But Mr Cheruiyot, a close confidant of DP Ruto, said the celebrations were poorly attended, adding that Mr Atwoli failed to organise Workers day but instead turned Uhuru Park onto a political battle.

"Citizen TV are such a kind lot. The reason they are only beaming on the dias in this Kieleweke rally at uhuru park is that the whole park is empty save for a few hired goons who will go home 200 Ksh richer," protested Cheruiyot.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria also raised similar concerns, terming the event a NASA rally: "It’s sad I attended Labour Day thinking its a Workers Day. It turns out to be just another NASA rally."

Those present include: John Mbadi, Mishi Mboko, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, Simba Arati, Maina Kamanda, Edwin Sifuna, Joshua Kutuny among others, who are leaning towards Kieleweke team.

Former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to get out of 'Handshake honeymoon' and push for prosecution of corrupt elements in government.

"It's time for handcuffs and not handshake. We want to see people arrested and jailed," he said, even as Kalonzo Musyoka insisted that the law ought to be respected in fight against corruption.
