Guardian bus company limited has been on the spotlight over harassment of its passengers. This is after two female passengers on were kicked out of the bus on Tuesday nigh under unclear circumstances.
The harassed passengers Mary Nyasuguta and Jackline Bonareri said they had booked the bus and were expected to leave Kisii for Nairobi at 9 pm on Tuesday night.
"We booked 2 seats and we were travelling to Nairobi. We were shocked when a male attendant by the name Amos Ongeri at the Kisii booking office kicked us out claiming that we were ferrying chang'aa yet we only had our handbags," said Bonareri.
Bonareri claimed that the male attendant had early tried to seduce her but, she rejected his advances.
"Ongeri seduced me while he was giving me receipts but, I refused since I am married. He said he will humiliate us and true to his threats he did it," she noted.
The office assistant manager Justus Okindo said investigations have been launched and Ongeri has already been suspended.
"We are sincerely sorry for what happened to our two loyal customers who had to spend the whole night at the office corridors. There was no chang'aa as Ongeri claimed and he has already been suspended to pave way for investigations," said Okindo.
