Estranged Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe made her first public appearance on Saturday since securing her freedom from Lang'ata Women Prison where she was remanded over the murder of Monica Kimani.
Ms Maribe paused for photos along with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and two other female legislators as they headed to Suguta village to witness Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda's wedding.
"Off to Samburu for the wedding of Hon Naisula Lesuuda, colleague and long time close friend since media days," wrote Kuria.https://www.facebook.com/900455006698876/posts/1981485251929174/.
During her October incarceration in prison, Moses Kuria along with State House Digital Communication Director Dennis Itumbi were some of friends who frequently visited her.
Ms. Lesuuda, a former journalist cum politician is wedding her long time fiance Robert Kiplagat in the ceremony that brought together several politicians and Journalists.
Maribe's embattled fiance Joseph Irungu alias Jowie still remains at Industrial Area prison and the two will appear for trial on June 2019.
Dennis Itumbi, who also attended the event in Samburu, has repeatedly denied dating Maribe despite his open romanticism expressions for her.
"She's is just a colleague. Our love has a deeper meaning than what most of you think. It's something special," Itumbi once said.
