The Briton prosecutor, according to Haji, has been deployed to solely handle the graft faces facing Deputy Chief Justice, but Miguna has some out in opposition of the nomination.

The former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant argues that Qureshi is illegally included in the case as he is first a foreigner and at the same time a commercial lawyer who cannot prosecute criminal cases.

Terming him a project of President Uhuru Kenyatta who, he claimed, is out to further victimize his opposers, Miguna observed that Qurashi’s other role is to intimidate Kenyans, being from Britain, our colonizers.

‘’Mr. @UKenyatta and his cartel surrogate Noor Haji secretly imported a British (not a Kenyan) commercial lawyer (not a criminal lawyer) to prosecute a Kenyan Deputy CJ and he appeared in court in an UGLY COLONIAL WIG to create PRIMITIVE OPTICS for ignorant Kenyans. #SayNoToUjinga,’’ he tweeted on Thursday.

Qureshi’s first appearance in court on Thursday was met by full resistance from the defence team after Senior Counsel James Orengo questioned his legality.

A ruling on whether he qualifies to prosecute in Kenyan soil is set for Wednesday next week.
