A section of Gusii residents have reacted after flamboyant businessman Don Bosco Gichana was disowned at his home turf.
This comes after former Kitutu Chache South MP contestant Anthony Kibagendi disowned Gichana saying he can't be allowed to vie for the MP seat in Kitutu Chache South.
Kibagendi's statement has brought about mixed reactions among Gusii leaders.
"Gichana has caused more panic on Gusii politicians. Kibagendi should be ready to face Gichana in 2022 for the MP seat," said James Mbwayo.
Abel Kimonge accused Kibagendi for opposing his fellow youth.
"Kibagendi's statement is a clear indication that he was part of the leaders who wanted Gichana to be jailed. No one is going to stop Gichana because it is his time to lead the people," said Kimonge.
Innocent Ondoro called on the businessman to stick to his home area, Kitutu Chache North.
"Gichana held his grand return at his home area. Let him vie the MP seat in Kitutu Chache North and keep off Kitutu Chache South because we have already people who will vie for the seat," he said.
Gichana was recently released from a Tanzanian prison after he pleaded guilty to money laundering charges.
