Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has accused the media of allegedly tainting his image.
Kalonzo claimed that a section of the media has been ‘fishing’ issues to politically 'finish' him.
The former Vice President said he is a victim of negative reporting owing to his 2022 presidential ambition and stand to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He asked the media to be objective, stop negative and sensational reporting against him.
“I have come to ask for your prayers to stop people from throwing words at me,” Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo spoke at Giachuki ACK Church in Gatanga, Murang’a County on Sunday.
He vowed to continue working with the President despite the attacks.Kalonzo asked Kenyans to support President Uhuru Kenyatta as he unites the country.He said the idea of handshake and uniting Kenyans came from him when he refused to be sworn in alongside opposition leader Raila Odinga as the People’s President in March 2018.The Ukambani political kingpin told the President not to relent in the war against graft.
He said Uhuru will leave a commendable legacy if he wins the fight against corruption.
Kalonzo was accompanied by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, Woman Representative Irene Kasalu, among other Wiper politicians.
