President Uhuru Kenyatta has summoned all Jubilee MPs to a meeting at State House on Tuesday.
A source told this writer the abrupt Parliamentary Group meeting on Tuesday is 'obviously to influence us endorse the 8% VAT on fuel'.
MPs had vowed to reject a bill by President Uhuru Kenyatta where he proposed an 8% VAT on fuel saying it will burden Kenyans with a high cost of living.
The Tuesday meeting is expected to whip the MPs into supporting Uhuru's position.
The MPs were called to the meeting through a text message by Leader of Majority Aden Duale seen by this writer.
“Mheshimiwa please note that we will hold a Parliamentary Group Meeting on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at State House Nairobi at 8:00 am sharp,” the text read.
