The incident occurred at Club One Drop in Nyathuna area, Kabete Constituency.

For months now, a group of residents dubbed 'Kaa sober team', has been moving across the county, storming into various alcohol dens to destroy illicit brew.

It is said that members of the group are paid Sh400 per day to take part in the exercise.

Earlier this week, reports emerged that a member of the team was murdered while on duty and his body dumped in a nearby farm.

In a video doing rounds on social media, youth believed to be members of the team are seen destroying the bottles of alcohol at club One Drop, as residents watch in disbelief.

The video has since elicited mixed reactions among residents, with some arguing that the Kaa sober programme has crossed the line by targetting genuine and licensed businesses.

Others supported the move, arguing that those opposing the programme don't understand the negative impact alcoholism has had on the county.
