The high flying secular artist confesses selling chang’aa in order to earn a living at the age of 12. He once revealed that he was not comfortable with the idea but he had no choice.
“I don’t like talking about it but I don’t shy away from speaking about it because I know it could motivate someone. Sometimes when I would get caught, the officers would frog march me past the school compound where other children would see me. It was embarrassing didn’t like doing it but I had to survive,” he said as reported by Classic 105.
Life has since changed for Otile. Today he is among the best-paid artists in the country. His relationship with socialite Vera Sidika has made him even famous.
Otile now rides in posh cars and lives in a multimillion shillings house following his breakthrough in the musical career.
