Controversial gospel singer Alex Apoko popularly known as Ringtone confirmed on Monday evening that he had been released after being arrested for allegedly causing confusion.

Earlier on Ringtone had posted on his Instagram account that he had been arrested while leaving cooperative University.

According to the ‘Tenda Wema’ hitmaker, he was released after intervention from his friends and people of good will.

“Hello everybody, I just want to confirm that I have just been released this evening after the police dropped the charges of causing confusion and other funny charges and after the intervention of my friends and people of good will,” Ringtone stated in a video on his Instagram account.

The evidently emotional singer who has been searching for a wife on the streets using a placard went ahead to state that he believes this is the year that he will get what he wants.

“I know this is my year, I’ll get what I want. Nobody will stand on the way for whatever reason in whatever way. I will get what I want, God bless you good night,” the ‘Pamela’ singer concluded in the video.

Apparently, the singer has not given up; he noted that his next stop will be at Kenyatta University.

“AVE BEEN RELEASED BY POLICE🙏🙏🙏 TOMORROW KENYATTA UNIVERSITY AM COME TO LOOK FOR A WIFE,” he stated.
