The Paty’s National Excutive Council (NEC) decision to expel them was ratified by ODM’s National Governing Council (NGC).

In a meeting held on Friday, ODM expelled Jumwa (Malindi MP) for supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

However, the Coast Parliamentary Group (CPG) chairperson, Suleiman Dori was spared for some time after he apologised. His apology will be scrutinised in the next 60 days.

“Party NGC unanimously votes to expel Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa from he party. The meeting however deferred the decision her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori following his letter of apology to the SG @edwinsifuna in which he apologised to the party for his rebellion,” reads ODM tweet.

Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) member Aisha Jumwa may  appeal the decision to the Registrar of Political Parties.
