Fielding questions from a battery of journalists at State House in Mombasa, he said that there had been no irregularities as had been claimed by the opposition.

"I believe and still continue to believe that I won the election fairly," he said in the interview.

Raila Odinga had claimed that the results that put Uhuru at the top had been doctored by the electoral commission and challenged them at the apex court.

The Supreme Court annulment was unprecedented in the history of Kenya.

In the wake of the decision, the visibly angry president promised to revisit the decision which he claimed had been handed down by compromised judges.
