Matiang'i argued that riders should be given humble time to go for training to acquire necessary documents before arrests will be made.

"We sat and agreed with bodaboda officials that all riders should process for their licences so that they can be fit to operate. The timeline we agreed has not elapsed. Police officers should therefore, stop harassing the riders on our roads," he stated.

According to Matiang'i, no boda boda rider will be arrested to be arraigned in court before the set timeline elapses.

"No one is going to be taken to court for lack of the necessary documents. For the time being all boda boda riders who haven't acquired licences as we agreed with their officials should move quickly to get the documents to avoid being in the wrong side of the law," said Matiang'i.

The Super minister however, warned youths against dropping school to venture into the boda boda business saying the government is investing more in education.
