A former KCSE student from a local Mandera school who had been reported missing has been found. The boy was found by a relative in Wajir, looking weak and sickly.
Ahmed Ali, a 2018 student at Elimu Bora secondary school, had reportedly gone missing close to a week ago after informing his father that he was visiting his friend in Mandera town.
According to his father, Mzee Abdirahman Abdi, Ahmed was found his disappearance went viral.
Though the boy is yet to arrive at his Mandera home, Mzee Abdi revealed that he has been informed of the developments by a relative who disclosed that his son looked weak and sickly, indicating that he might have been abducted and tortured before being released.
"I have not met him. I was just informed by his uncle in Wajir that he has been found though in a bad condition. He might have been tortured before being released. All the same, I am happy he is still alive," Mzee Abdi observed.
Ahmed Ali got into the public limelight in November 2018 after writing in his KCSE English paper that he was planning to kill President Uhuru Kenyatta and Garissa Township MP Aden Duale.
This made him get arrested by police to be released later after it emerged that no criminal charges would be preferred against him.
