Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been named the Goods Deeds Ambassador in Kenya, by the Good Deeds Global.

Governor Sonko got the award on Tuesday morning when he hosted the organization's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ruach Tova at City Hall, Nairobi.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Sonko acknowledged that he had received the award and vowed to continue with his good deeds.

"During a meeting with Good Deeds global CEO Mr Kaynan Rabino at City Hall, Nairobi. I am indeed humbled for being named the Good Deeds Goodwill Ambassador in Kenya. My administration has accepted a request for Nairobi to host the 2019 Global Good Deeds Conference in April 2019. I’ll continue with good deeds in order to promote equality for all citizen," Sonko posted on his official Facebook page.

The governor has for a long time been involved in charitable activities that include; feeding the poor, paying fees for the financially challenged, and providing free services under his Non-Governmental organisation named Sonko Rescue Team.
